CANBERRA CENTENARY
'A LEGACY OF GOOD DESIGN'
Megan Jackson’s hand printed Marion Scarf was chosen as a winner of the Canberra Centenary’s A Legacy of Good Design competition.
The Marion Scarf features Megan’s Canberra toile screenprint, specifically designed and hand drawn for this project. First and foremost this print is designed to be appreciated as a beautiful pattern, but upon closer inspection, quirky and unique scenes of daily life in Canberra emerge. Featuring landmarks with both historical and modern day context, it captures Canberra from a perspective that is often overshadowed by national tourist attractions.
This limited edition handprinted silk cotton scarf was available for sale exclusively through Craft ACT Shop, The National Gallery of Australia Shop, National Portrait Gallery Store, National Library of Australia BookShop, Australian War Memorial Shop and National Museum of Australia Shop throughout 2013.
