Megan Hinton is an accomplished artist and designer based in Canberra, Australia.

Through her freelance design and artistic practice, Megan regularly exhibits her works and has been commissioned for a wide variety of design projects including graphic design, illustration and textile design. Megan has also designed a range of textiles, fashion accessories, homewares and furniture products under her label Megan Jackson, retailing theses through design markets and specialist stores.

Her education in textile design and printmaking strongly influence both her artistic practice and design work, with her recognisable aptitude for pattern, abstraction and colour resonating through many projects.

Megan is a passionate advocate of the flourishing creative scene in Canberra and has been involved in a number of key projects including Design Canberra 2016, Young.Hot.Canberra and Centenary of Canberra: A Legacy of Good Design. Megan was a Mentor in the Canberra Mentorship Program 2015, an ANU School of Art Emerging Artist Support Scheme Award.

Megan has lectured and tutored at the Australian National University School of Art in a number of creative disciplines including textile design, screen printing and computer studies (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator).  Megan is an Accredited Professional Member of Craft ACT, NAVA Premium Plus Member. She completed Bachelor of Visual Arts (Textiles) (Honours) at the Australian National University.

Megan is currently the Director (acting) of PhotoAccess.
